Expand Your Living Space Outdoors

A concrete patio turns your backyard into usable living space. Whether you're hosting weekend barbecues, setting up outdoor furniture, or just need a clean area for the kids to play, a well-built patio makes your home more functional and enjoyable. Plus, it adds value when it comes time to sell.

Concrete works perfectly for Florida patios. It holds up to our intense sun without fading or warping like wood. It doesn't rot, rust, or attract termites. Rain runs right off, and when something spills, you just hose it down. Simple, durable, and ready for whatever you throw at it.

We design patios to fit your space and how you plan to use it. Small intimate areas for morning coffee or large entertainment spaces for gatherings. Simple rectangular layouts or curved designs that flow with your landscaping. The choice is yours, and we make it happen.

Your patio can be as plain or as fancy as you want. Standard gray concrete keeps costs down and looks clean. Add color, texture, or stamped patterns for more visual interest. We work with your budget and vision to create something you'll be proud to show off to neighbors and guests.

Design Options for Your Patio

The beauty of concrete is how versatile it is. You're not stuck with plain gray slabs anymore. Modern techniques and finishes give you tons of options to match your home's style and your personal taste.

Popular Finish Choices

  • Broom finish for a slip-resistant texture that's perfect for wet areas
  • Smooth trowel finish for a sleek contemporary look
  • Exposed aggregate that reveals colorful stones in the mix
  • Stamped patterns that look like stone, slate, or tile
  • Stained concrete in earth tones or custom colors
  • Decorative borders and scoring patterns for visual interest

If you love the look of natural stone but not the price tag, stamped concrete gives you both. We can replicate almost any stone or tile pattern at a fraction of the cost. The stamping process adds texture and depth that looks incredibly realistic.

Size and shape matter too. We help you figure out the right dimensions based on your furniture plans and how many people you want to accommodate. Simple rectangles work great and cost less. Custom shapes with curves or multiple levels look stunning but require more labor and materials.

Think about connecting your patio to other concrete features. A matching walkway creates a cohesive look. If you have a pool, extending the patio creates a seamless outdoor living area. We look at your whole property to design something that makes sense for how you live.

The Installation Process

Building a quality patio takes more than just pouring concrete. The preparation work determines how well your patio performs over time. We take care of every detail to ensure you get a flat, stable surface that lasts.

We start by marking out the patio location and checking for any underground utilities. Then we excavate to the proper depth and haul away the excess dirt. The ground gets graded to slope slightly away from your house so water drains properly. This prevents puddling and protects your foundation.

Next we add a compacted gravel base for stability and drainage. This step is critical in Florida where soil can be sandy or hold too much moisture. The base supports the concrete and prevents settling. We install edge forms to contain the concrete and create clean, straight lines.

On pour day, the concrete truck arrives and we get to work quickly. Our crew spreads and levels the concrete, working it into all corners and edges. We use screeds and floats to create a smooth, even surface. Before the concrete sets, we add your chosen finish whether that's broom texture, stamping, or something else.

Control joints get cut or formed into the slab to manage cracking. These joints give the concrete designated places to crack as it expands and contracts with temperature changes. Properly placed joints keep cracks small and contained rather than running randomly across your patio.

After finishing, the concrete needs time to cure. You can walk on it after 24 hours, but we recommend waiting at least 3 days before placing heavy furniture. Full strength takes about a month. During this time, we may spray a curing compound or cover the surface to ensure proper hardening. Once cured, your new patio is ready for years of enjoyment.
